I Learned Something This Weekend….

keep-calm-and-enjoy-the-weekend

It’s been a very, very, VERY busy weekend for us…..and, as with anything that is chaotic, things have been crazy, as well.  YEAH us!

So, I thought I’d make a little list, cause ya’ll KNOW how much I LOVE a list, of the 5 things I’ve learned this weekend.  If nothing else, it’ll help remind me of something….and I’m sure I’ll figure out what it is as soon as I see it.

What I learned this Weekend:

  1. I’m old.  Since Friday, I’ve been to 34 different places (Yep, counted them). And all that getting out, getting in, doing stuff, walking 1000 miles (slight exaggeration), interacting with people (possibly the most difficult….), making decisions (ok, equally difficult), and then doing normal at home stuff has slap worn me out.  I’m gonna pretend that would wear anyone out and it’s not JUST because I’m old.
  2. Apparently, there was a person on my Facebook page that thought we were bad parents and proceeded to tell me how we were making Tater be ashamed of her body because we thought she should wear clothes and if she didn’t, she might grow up to be a skank.  My bad…what was I thinking??  Oh wait ~ maybe I was thinking I write a humorous Facebook page and Blog and I find just about everything Funny and write about it often.  Oh, and I deleted her. That made me feel better.
  3. When a 1/2 pitcher of Margaritas only costs $8.50, I’m pretty sure they only put 1/2 teaspoon of Tequila in the entire Pitcher.   Sneaky little bastards….
  4. Everyone should ride a float in a small-town Christmas parade at least once. Even if that ‘float’ is the bed of a pick up truck,  and you’re holding onto a plastic trellis wrapped in red felt, singing Christmas Carols blasting out of a boom box from 1989.  Extra points if you hit the silver haired lady sitting on the sidewalk in cowboy boots with the candy you toss out of the stash you’ve been saving since Halloween.
  5. Everything tastes better when you add rum…..

Here’s to the Holidays ~ May they bring you joy, friends, family, happiness and enough alcohol to make it to January!!

Thanks for reading my blog ~ if you want to leave a comment, I promise I’ll read it and respond because I LOVE comments.  And if you really love it, share it with your friends and have a margarita while you’re reading the blog out loud.  At the bar.  With other people near by.  It’s even FUNNIER then!  🙂 Cheers!

  3. I love your posts, especially when I’m having one of those days. You always make me laugh. I can relate to your shopping adventure. I was so excited when I could shop online. Take that you nasty and rude shoppers and retailers!! As for the antics of Tater…you go girl!! Sounds like a very cool and well adjusted little girl to me.Guess I missed that negative comment. Glad you dumped her sorry A$$!!!

  4. Don’t listen to the haters, Sasha! I read what you told Tater about clothes and growing up to be a skank, you did NOTHING WRONG there. You are teaching her values that will serve her when she is grown, Trust me, I work with a lot of women who were never taught these values and now that they are on their own in the real world they are struggling. And with all you do in a day it’s no wonder you’re exhausted, age has absolutely nothing to do with it! Have a great one!

  5. Sasha, I love you and MacDaddy! You guys are doing such a great job with Tater! Teaching her modesty, and to be proud of herself, but to cover it up is what more parents need to do with their kids. Anyway, being tired from all that running around doesn’t have anything to do with age, cause shoot, I got wore out just reading it lol. Kudos to hitting the silver haired woman! She shouldn’t have been in the way of the kids getting their candy 🙂

  9. Good! Glad you deleted that b*tch. I told her to take her poison somewhere else. Life’s too short to get upset about stuff like that! Hey, question: where’d you meet Mac? And also, I.understand Tater is your granddaughter. Does she live w/ you? Do you have a FAQ page? Lo£
